Here is an update on the galga with two broken legs. We when we took off the casts that were set by the vet, we realized with great sorrow that we were dealing with some complications. Her legs didn’t set properly and were not able to heal normally.

Once again, we called our friend Ricardo from the Mediterraneo Clinic to see what he could do for her. After being assessed by the clinic specialists, they decided that the legs had to be operated on in order to be saved.  They were going to have to break the legs again and reset them with plates. This would give her the best possible chance to walk again. She remained hospitalized to recover with the vets.  Such precious, young dog with two fractured legs…such a pity.

When we brought her to Ricardo we wanted to provide her with the best possible care and chance to walk and live a normal life.  So of course when they recommended the operation, we knew it wasn’t going to be free and that it was going to cost a lot of money. But we didn’t hesitate to do the operation because we didn’t have the money to pay for it… because that is why we exist – to save these animals and help them when they need us most.

I am pleased to report that she is healing and recovering which we are very thankful for.  The bills for the operation and the hospital stay are still to be paid.  Please, we need your help to pay for this.  Any donations are greatly appreciated.  Your help allows us to do this work. We will continue to update you on her progress.

Thank you,

Fermín
