Sira’s story, about a dog from the dog pound in Zamora

Lua is the person we were talking to you about in our news from Scooby’s Philosophy from April. She was hired to work at Zamora’s pound, where the people from Fiel Amigo have taken charge of, and this is why she is writing on our website.

I will never forget the way I met you. I would have never wanted to see, live, the story that, for you, was nothing else than an abandonment.

I didn’t know you, but I could feel your grief when your ex owner came to give you in. You, obedient and happy, came out of the car, you surely thought that you were out for a walk, but you are smart, and you soon realized that something was going on, and your expression changed to one of sadness and confusion.

One only had to look at you to see your grief when being separated of the people you unconditionally loved, what is more, you couldn’t understand why. When the car was started, and you were left with me, your moan was heart-rending, and my heart sank.

You were big, noble (for when they left, even crying, you would leak my hand, thanking me for trying to calm your sadness), good, quiet, affectionate and adorable with kids, as your ex owner said, and of course, after getting to know you, I confirm it, but all these list of values were useless; all your life offering them your life, but now there are the kids, and “you don’t have a place” in the house, nor in their hearts.

How unfair, pretty one! They haven’t been as loyal as you. You’ve been with for a month now, and nobody knows how much you cried, so huge and so frail, glued to the door where you saw them leave the last time, waiting for them to come back.

Neither your age, 6 years, nor your big size are of big help, but I hope that I human being can appreciate your nobility, giving you another chance of having a life and love, which you deserve. With that idea is that I tell your story (we adore you, but you don’t get used to life at the shelter)

Good luck pretty one. I wish there were more human beings like you.
