Hello Scooby friends,
In addition to the new dogs on the website, I wanted to bring your attention to some long time Scooby residents that really deserve a home. Many of them are mix breeds and there are a few galgos. Please have a look at these dogs and let me know if there is any chance that they too can find a loving home.
Please have a special look at these dogs on our adoption page and feel free to send this information to anyone that you think would be interested.
Thank you,
Eva |

Cachorro - has been at
Scooby since at least 2003. This
is also another dog that is growing old at the shelter.
Cachorro has lived in paddock 7-3 and 7-2 for a long time.
Sharing this paddock Mr Bombastic our very very large mastin and also
with very timid female galgos - he can get along well with all of them.
He has been at the shelter for a long time, so of course he has
learned that his paddock is where he lives - he deserves more than this. |
|
Choco - has been at
Scooby since 2004. He has been
released from the Virtual Adoption program and is ready for a home.
However, for those of you who have seen him at the shelter, you know
that he is very active. He will
require a family that has a garden for him to run in and also a family that
is active. He would also be best
with another dog and he loves to play. He also shared his paddock with Roma
- see below - perhaps a family could adopt them both! |
|
Columbo - has been at
the shelter for probably 5 years.
I don't understand why since he has 3 stars for everything except
cats... but of course, he has never been cat tested, so there is a chance
that he would be fine with them.
He is gaining a lot weight because he has been in the paddock for a long
time and really would love a home to be able to run and play with other dogs
in a new environment. |
|
Delfina - another dog that has three stars except for cats, but again, hasn't been tested with them lately, so perhaps this has also changed. She has been at the shelter for at least three years. |
|
Erna - also has been at the shelter for over three years. She is a very nice dog and you can see that by her profile, she is good with all animals.
|
|
Jas - a very long time Scooby resident, probably 4 years - again great with male and female dogs. We are not sure about Jas with cats - but can cat test her no problem.
|
|
Jason - was a virtual adoption dog and is now ready to find his forever home. He is special needs, so we are going to be very careful to whom he is adopted. |
|
Manolo - also at the shelter for three year. Christiane, our virtual adoption coordinator and wonderful photographer has provided new photos of Manolo to show his beauty. Another dog that gets along perfectly with other dogs and has been here far too long.
|
|
Orejas - has been at the shelter for a very, very, very long time. Always welcomes you with such happiness when you enter the paddock - it just doesn't make sense why she is still here. A very sweet dog.
|
|
Pluto & Roch - both have
been on the website for about a year now and I haven't had one person ask
about these beautiful dogs. It's
crazy because people will pay hundreds of dollars for a Pointer from a
breeder and yet w have these dogs sitting in the shelter for so long. |
|
Roma - also a virtual
adoption dog that is ready for her forever home.
You will see when you click on her photo that she lived in the same
paddock as Choco - they were together for a long time and would probably
enjoy to share their lives together when they leave the shelter.
Roma is older than Choco and she can be fairly dominant, but what do
you expect from an female that has lived with active young males for over
three years ? ;) |
|
Rubi - you can see that in this dogs eyes she is bright and would love a home that would keep her active. She has been at the shelter for at least three years as well, and you can see that she is fine with living with other dogs.
|
|
Tras - Has been here for almost two years and unfortunately, I haven't had any requests for her. She has two stars for everything, but I am sure that she would do well in a home that could take the time to make her happy.
