Special guest performance: Maria Daines

We are very proud to announce that Maria Daines has accepted our invitation to do an acoustic benefit performance during our August Anniversary Celebration.  Maria fronts a hard-working, no-nonsense rock band playing original material written by Maria & guitarist Paul Killington. Hailing from Cambridgeshire, UK, they formed in 1996, becoming a fixture of the live music scene & making a number of TV appearances, garnering fans in over 20 countries, and recently winning several prestigious awards, including Best Artist in the International Online Music Awards 2006 & 2007. BBC radio and FM stations world-wide feature Maria’s tracks quite regularly.

 

In August 2007 the band supported US artist Pink at Cardiff Arena for the “Party for Animals World Wide”. The Scooby Buffet

We are already about halfway to capacity and it is only March, so if you would like to join us for our buffet, you will definitely need to order in advance.  Reservations are not guaranteed until we receive your payment, so don’t wait too long!

 

It is exciting to know that so many organisations, supporters and adoption families from different nationalities will be together in one place!  We are working hard behind the scenes and considering ways to optimize our fund-raising activities at the Anniversary event, it is an important source of much-needed cash to support all of the good work that goes on behind the scenes at Scooby Medina. If you can attend it will be highly appreciated, and thank you for continuing to help make a difference and giving a much-needed voice to animal welfare.
