That there are also other animals than galgos who are put through horrible abuse proves the next story. A few weeks ago a lady brought a female cat to Scooby. She had seen her straying around for a while and when she tried to catch her it turned out very easy doing so. Obviously the cat was used to people.

When the lady took the cat out of the box, we were stunned: both ears had been cut off, there was only a small piece left. The tail was also cut off except for a few centimetres. Since this does not benefit the cat in any way we came to the horrible conclusion; this was the work of an animal torturer. What for heavens sake did the poor animal do to be abused like this. Nothing of course. Alas there are people who like doing these kind of things!

Although the abuse and mutilation this poor animal had been put through, she did not lose faith in people. She is very  sweet and affectionate. She constantly wants to be stroked during which she begins to rub her head affectionately and starts purring. In the meantime  we have had her vaccinated and neutered. She lives with the other cats and adapts very well. Carmen is just a very sweet cat who bravely overcame the horrible things that has been done against her.

Are you that animal friend who puts inner beauty before outer looks? Will you give Carmen that warm and loving home were she can put the misery behind her. Will you provide that home so that she does not have to stay at Scooby’s for the rest of her life?  If so, please do contact our partner organisation in your country so that we can bring Carmen home to you with our next transport? Heartfelt thanks from all of us here at Scooby!
