Scooby’s 20th birthday

Twenty years ago Scooby was founded by a local initiative. Brave folks who filled their buckets of water at home and brought them to a ruin, where they were caring for stray dogs. Scooby has grown since and, in this 21^st century, it is a stands for a safe house for hundreds of dogs, cats and other animals which need help. Help comes from within Spain but also from abroad. That is why we have decided to celebrate this summer. Celebrate all that has been achieved in the past years. In order to choose a location from the countries were the heap of our supporters live, our party will be given in Belgium.

Our Belgian Tornado-friends have offered to do the organisation of our jubilee-party. The Tornado’s is a foundation developing all kinds of initiatives in order to support animals in need and it specialises in organising events like this one.

All the fellow organisations fighting for the same cause have been invited of course.

We are pleased that most of them assured us that they will be attending the party. You, as a Scooby friend are also more than welcome. For the successes were only possible thanks to all of you who have been supporting us throughout the years.

Ode to Belinda

Roelof and Lian Brandsma from The Netherlands, virtual adoption parents of galga Belinda, were sad about the news that Belinda passed away.

Roelof is a shepherd, and when one of his sheep gave birth to a lamb on January 27^th, the first lamb of the season, they decided to name her Belinda.

We would like to thank them very much for this, It is a great way to honour our dear Belinda.

Choco, Jason and Roma for adoption

Our loyal website visitors know who they are. Choco, the young and playful chocolate brown galgo, his paddock companion lady Roma, and our black, shy Galgo male Jason. For a while they represented Scooby as virtual adoption dogs. Now it is their time to find a real home. New dog on the virtual adoption page is Laura, known from the Cuellar update in August last year. She has Leishmania and needs your financial support for medical treatment.
