As I believe you already know, Scooby’s philosophy is to help animals who need it, no matter where they are. Following this principle, at the beginning of the year we helped animals from a shelter in Laguna del Duero belonging to the Defensa Animal (Animal Defence) association. In our conversations with the president of the association Gracia, she asked us to take charge of the shelter, and so we did. As from that moment, Scooby has been picking up dogs from there during all this year. Many of them have already found their permanent home in Europe, and others are still with us.

As from January the 1st Scooby 2-Defensa Animal is born, a second animal shelter which will follow our policy and our philosophy of helping the animals. We there have some 30 dogs and 12 cats, which will be soon available for adoption. Even when the facilities obviously need improvement, for the time being we won’t invest any money, since it’s a temporary shelter, for the Laguna del Duero city council will build a new shelter for us to administer; modern and functional, since they are counting on our help so that the municipal architect designs it in accordance to the animals needs. By the way, in that sense will have more news soon, since Scooby’s philosophy starts to catch on also in the rest of Spain. But let’s not cross the bridge before we get to it, one thing at a time.
