I would like to show you the improvement of the dogs we have picked up in Sevilla. All those who were in bad physical conditions are recovering very well, they just needed to eat. When the galga sees me arrive through the patio, she comes like a crazy to say hi to me, and this dog smiles when he sees you. Tell me, seeing these pictures, if you are not in heaven, for to me, it’s the essence of our job.

 

The poor dogs which are psychologically traumatized will need of much more time, and a comprehensive family who will help them overcome their traumas. Clinically speaking, more or less 70% of the bitches are pregnant, we have sterilized quite a few and we are still doing so, thanks to Karl, our German friend’s invaluable help. By the way, we desperately need voluntary vets, for as I told you, most of the bitches are pregnant.

 

I’m very happy to tell you that the three bitches which we thought had mammary tumours, have been operated and they were hernias. Two of them had the intestines in the hernia, and the third was pregnant and had the uterus with the puppies out of it, but in the end the three of them were saved, for we had thought we would have to euthanize them. Another of the bitches had a cyst in the ovary the size of a tennis ball and another one had a uterine prolapse, but for the time being they are all doing ok. See the face of one of these dogs. She now comes to lick you. Anyway, I’m absolutely delighted with the results that we are achieving, and especially to be able to help these animals and some others in the future.
