Dear Scooby friends,

Last month one of our icons, Barbitas, took a flight to the United States to meet his new adoption family. Barbitas lived in our shelter for many years, desperately waiting for a chance for adoption, and meanwhile making a living while being one of our virtual adoption animals. Until this summer, when he got his once in a lifetime opportunity and of course we didn’t want stop him and released him as virtual adoption animal.

American supporting organization GRIN, mediated the adoption and Abbey described the arrival of Barbitas, among some other lucky dogs, at the airport:

“I was in tears seeing him walk out of his crate at the airport. I have been in love with him since I met him two years ago at Scooby and this was very emotional for me. He was AMAZING! He walked out of the crate, looked up with that big, goofy face of his, and started wagging his tail. He was so happy just to see people, and he couldn't get enough of the treats and love. He sat there and just looked adoringly at his new family - who sat there and stared at him as if he was a long-lost child come home. He is going to have a WONDERFUL life, very full of love, and I am so glad I could be a part of giving that to him!! Thank you ALL for taking care of him and bringing him here!”

Below you can enjoy the photos of his arrival, special thanks goes out to you who virtually adopted Barbitas until his adoption. These photos are for all our supporters, but especially for you, with the regards from the new American citizen Barbitas.
