¿Who doesn’t know George, our racoon? He’s been for a while with us already, and even when we give him all the love we can, he felt a bit lonely. What could be better than a female racoon to keep him company and that they can both share caresses and play?

That is why we have brought Telma, a  2 year old female racoon. Even when she is very young, at first we very frightened that they would fight (and a fight between two carnivores is not a silly thing), for which we decided to put her in George’s home but in a cage, so that they would see each other and smell each other, and even when the first contact was a bit violent, now they are very happy together, sharing the house, and it’s only be a week (a whole record)

But this is not all. The Scooby family has grown even more:

There are more than 20 birds between geese and ducks, three mini goats, 8 domestic rams and 6 Busgender goats. There are also 2 Cebús, or holy cows, a race originally from India. One of them is only three months old, for which she is being fed with a bottle. Every day, morning and afternoon, she must have her bottle of milk, and Cobie is in charge of it.

She has been very patient and got her used to the bottle, for in the beginning she didn’t want to drink from it. Now, when she sees her approach, she runs towards her as if she were her mom.

There’s more, we have two ponies who have arrived from Holland. They are still adapting to us for they are a bit unsociable. They share the yard with the goats and the ram.

Since we got the Iguana everybody was very worried because she had a very small terrarium, so we decided to make one bigger but we think that it was a little bit too much.

As you can see, now we are a really big family.

What we want is that these animals have a place to live , that they are happy and that they get used to us. We hope that one day, not too far from now (we hope), we can, through the different educational programs, transmit the importance and the value of domestic animals.

Un Saludo.
