Dear friends:

Here I am again to tell you about my first trip driving to Europe with dogs and with the new van. In deep it has been a real adventure for me, it was my first time and I really enjoyed that, altough it was a long journey, a lot of hours driving, the end, like always is absolutely pleasant. This time we carried dogs for "Les Filles du Vent”, GINN, GPI , Scooby Mixed Holland and Geleen. After our first stop in Tournai (Belgium) and after the unloading of the dogs and an appointment we had, we kept going to Holland, where we unloaded the rest. Among them some mixes, galgos and greyhounds and a couple of puppies; like always the dogs came out of the van wanting to move their muscles and start running, there they were received by volunteers from GINN. They gave them all the needed care and after a while all were in their paddocks at MIldert like if they had been always living there, they start to smell everything and getting use to their new place.

Mª José and me, we spent there a very busy week with a lot of meetings and visits and also a couple of educational centres so we could get ideas for ours. At the same time, we were collecting a lot of material like benches, food, tables and chairs for the educational centre that were collected in England with the help of the people from Greyhound Compassion. After that it went to Holland thanks  to our dear friend Joost and his company Van der Luyt Transport and after that to Spain by van. We did some shopping and at the end we were able to collect the caravan that was a long time waiting for us in Belgium. Thank you to the ones who donate it, It is already at the shelter ready for being used by our volunteers.

I want to thank deeply all the people with whom we have been, because we made us welcome at every place where we have been. And although it has been a working week with some “business” and not always pleasant, we appreciated it like a holidays week. The last day, because we didn´t want to leave, it made us to wake up a litle bit late. But we needed to come back because I started to work and I needed to prepare everything, by the way every day is more complicated to be able to do all my tasks at the same time but it will be the reason for another update.For the moment, thank you and please adopt all those dogs as soon as possible because Iam willing to go back to visit again all our European friends.
